Combined stabilization and tilt system for ships, adapted to be arranged through the hull of a cargo ship, ferry, icebreaker or any other type of vessel, comprising an elongated tank extended through the hull of said vessel, a mass of liquid which partially fills said tank to a predetermined level, and an air space above said liquid mass, a longitudinal central bulkhead dividing said tank into two insulated compartments only, closing means cooperating with said bulkhead for isolating said compartments from each other, air ventilation devices communicating with each compartment to equalize the air pressure therein when such compartments are isolated, and pumping means communicating with the two compartments to selectively move liquid from one or the other of said compartments to the other.
