Abstract
Electrodo de pared para horno metalúrgico eléctrico de corriente continua, del tipo que comprende una barra metálica destinada a atravesar la pared del horno, a fin de entrar, por un extremo, en contacto con una masa metálica en fusión contenida en el horno sobresaliendo el otro extremo al exterior del horno por una porción envuelta en un manguito de material termo y electroconductor, enérgicamente enfriado por una circulación de fluido refrigerante, y enlazado a un borne de la alimentación eléctrica, y una virola que prolonga la porción de la barra que sobresale del horno, electrodo caracterizado porque el manguito rodea, a pequeña distancia, la porción que sobresale de la barra, a fin de formar entre ellos, en el curso del montaje, un espacio de separación, la virola es de un material buen conductor de la electricidad, y se han previsto medios para enlazar la citada virola al mismo borne de la alimentación eléctrica que el manguito.
