Abstract

Finned heat-exchanger tube consisting of a tube (1) around which is wound a metal band (2) soldered at its base to the tube, the said metal band being produced by assembling, by butt soldering, two strips (4, 6) of different metals, the one (4) soldered onto the tube having an expansion coefficient very close to that of the tube. The fin is soldered over its edge onto the tube, and the outermost strip (6) has a higher coefficient of thermal conductivity than that of the tube.
