The present invention falls within the sector of visual evaluation devices and/or color filters with application in optics and optometry. More specifically, it refers to the sector of devices to measure the visual measurement compensation that the user needs in real shooting conditions.
ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓNBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
La adaptación de esta lente al diopter o visor delantero es perfectamente compatible con el “Reglamento técnico especial para fusil 300 m, fusil standard 300 m, carabina 50 m y carabina aire 10 m”, de la ISSF (-International Shooting Sport Federation- organismo internacional de tiro olímpico), en vigor desde el 15/10/2017The athlete who uses a precision rifle, or the Olympic shooter, may have a common vision problem, such as any ametropia (myopia, hyperopia or astigmatism) or presbyopia, which can be compensated by lenses in glasses, contact lenses or with a lens that It adapts to the diopter or front viewfinder and solves the user's visual problem. The adaptation of this lens to the diopter or front sight is perfectly compatible with the “Special technical regulations for 300 m rifle, 300 m standard rifle, 50 m rifle and 10 m air rifle”, of the ISSF ( -International Shooting Sport Federation- international organization Olympic shooting), in force from 10/15/2017
Measurements to determine the characteristics that the lens that adapts to the diopter or front viewfinder should have are usually carried out in an optician, using optometry to obtain the final result that compensates for ametropia, or in an ophthalmologist's consultation. Lens treatment, however, is only the responsibility of the optometrist and must ensure perfect compensation, but also correct adaptation to the rifle to obtain the best visual conditions with the equipment with which you will carry out your sporting activity.
People with significant visual impairments can also participate in sports shooting. The differences with the visually impaired with a visual acuity no greater than 2.6 logMAR, lie in a greater difficulty in improving their vision to normal limits for sports shooting.
On the other hand, the athlete with greater visual acuity than 2.6 logMAR would belong to another discipline for the blind and would use a special device with sound for the competition and would not require this treatment.
It is recommended to measure the shooters' visual problems in the optics, monocularly over the dominant eye, and adapting the measurement distances to the distances that the weapon requires to correctly see the sights and/or the target. Sometimes, it is even recommended that the user take their weapon to the optician so that the measurement is as real as possible.
On the other hand, color is a property of light transmitted, reflected or emitted by an object that depends on its wavelength. Color can enhance contrast and allows you to identify and locate objects that would otherwise be indistinguishable from their background, which is why the use of filters is common in this sport. Depending on the shooting modality, the lighting conditions and the characteristics of the shooter, the optician may advise the use of filters of a certain color that will modify the spectral distribution of the light that reaches the user's eye.
Although some progress has been made, it is still necessary to measure shooters' refraction problems as accurately as possible, as well as measure their color perception, to compensate for both aspects and improve the visual ability of shooters both with and without visual impairments. them, thus also improving their sporting performance.
EXPLICACIÓN DE LA INVENCIÓNEXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION
Visual measurement device for rifle shooters with or without visual impairment.
To improve the evaluation of shooters' visual abilities, a device has been developed to measure a shooter's visual acuity and ability to distinguish colors under real shooting conditions. A prepared device is proposed so that it can be attached to the diopter of the carbine and check the refraction measured either in the optics or directly in the sports facilities at the same shooting range, with the necessary optometric equipment for this. This device is placed on the diopter in the same way that the corrective lens of choice will later be placed.
The device has a front face (the one closest to the shooter's eye) and a back face (the one furthest from the shooter's eye).
En la cara delantera, el dispositivo incluye:On the front side, the device includes:
- una apertura central con soportes para sujetar lentes y/o filtros de colores con las que evaluar la visión del tirador;- a central opening with supports to hold lenses and/or colored filters with which to evaluate the shooter's vision;
- una escala en grados de 0 a 180° para evaluar el posible astigmatismo del tirador;- a scale in degrees from 0 to 180° to evaluate the possible astigmatism of the shooter;
- un nivel para nivelar la escala de grados;- a level to level the grade scale;
- dos oclusores, uno para el ojo izquierdo y otro para el ojo derecho, situados a ambos lados de la apertura central.- two occluders, one for the left eye and one for the right eye, located on both sides of the central opening.
On the back, the device includes fastening elements to the diopter of the carbine. Preferably, the fastening element is an adjustable washer with a through screw.
After direct or indirect compensation in the optics, the necessary lenses are placed in front of the central opening of the device, inserting as many lenses and filters as necessary. If the measurement is direct on the device, the supports will be used to leave the lenses arranged to verify that the shooter's vision is improved.
Once the device is attached to the front sight of the rifle, the adjustable washer, together with the information provided by the level, serves to control that the degree scale is correctly aligned to accurately measure the axis of astigmatism in cases where that the shooter presents this ametropia.
The lateral occluders are arranged on both sides of the central opening to cover the eye that the shooter does not use for the shoot, and can be used for right-handed and left-handed people alike. At the same time, they make up the body of the device.
The device allows the test lenses to be placed in the weapon's viewfinder itself, where the lens attached to the weapon's viewfinder will be placed, with the possibility of being able to subjectively measure the spherical, cylindrical power and its axis whether the shooter is right- or left-handed. eye to aim. The invention also relates to a system that includes the device described and a set of trial lenses, with the possibility of also including a set of color filters.

Ejemplo 1.Example 1.
A device was made with a circle that has a central opening (1) of 35 mm in diameter, made of rigid recyclable plastic material and 1.5 mm thick, made of polyethylene terephthalate. On both sides of the central opening (1), two occluders (4) of the same material were placed, which, joining everything around the central opening, formed the body (44) of the device. Above the central opening (1), on the body of the device (44), a degree scale (2) was printed, from 0 to 180°. On the other hand, three supports (3) for holding lenses were attached inside the central opening: two side pieces 7 mm long and a bottom piece 3 mm long, all of them 1.5 mm thick. thickness and made with the same plastic material as the rest of the device.
Embedded in one of the occluders and on the front face, a level (5) was included to keep the device aligned to the ground and correctly adjust the astigmatism axes.
On the back of the device, an adjustable washer (7) with a variable diameter from 37 mm to 80 mm was attached, to be able to adapt it to different sports carbine front sights. The thickness of the adjustable washer (7) was 2 mm and the depth was 40 mm in the same plastic material.
The opening of the adjustable washer (7) is possible by a through screw (6) that is clamped to the adjustable washer (7) itself with a nut of the same plastic material attached to the adjustable washer (7) and with a thread pitch equivalent.
Ejemplo 2.Example 2.
The visual measurement device for rifle shooters with or without visual impairment is useful for measuring the ametropia and color defect of any human being in the dominant eye or the one with which they shoot at the target. To verify this, 2 shooters from the Spanish Olympic shooting team were selected in several sessions of measurement and shooting tests, in the shooting gallery of the High Performance Center where they train and where the optometrist traveled with the device described in the example 1 and with a set of test lenses and colored filters.
Comfort in changing lenses according to the perception of improved acuity visual and sharpness of the gun tunnel, which is used to aim at the target, and the combination of filters of different wavelengths to avoid loss of contrast in the center of the target, provided significant speed for shooters. The device described in example 1 allowed, in vivo, to ensure improvement and the possibility of continuing training at the highest possible level, using the visual measurement device and leaving the new compensation conditions (combination of sphere, cylinder and filters) over time. necessary on the weapon without having to wait for the arrival of a definitive lens prescribed in a traditional way.
