Abstract
Hydrogen-containing air can be oxidised by heating in a vessel (1) called a recombiner, in order to avoid the accumulation of hydrogen. The vessel (1) has an elongated shape, in which a plurality of straight heating rods (25) is arranged parallel to one another, which are flange-mounted on a cover (5). The heating rods (25) are surrounded by pipes (24), so as to achieve effective heat transfer by means of a narrow annular gap (30).
