Abstract

Improvements made to the manufacture of heat sensitive sheets comprising a base sheet bearing a coating of a heat sensitive composition comprising a film-forming binder in which the reaction product of (a) an organometallic compound is dispersed of the Grignard type having the structure (R) and M- (X) z, in which R is a substituent chosen from the group consisting of aryl and alcohol radicals, M is a metal from the group consisting of bismuth, chromium, gallium, germanium, iron, lead, mercury, tellurium and tin, X is an anionic substituent, and yz are each, an integer ey + z = the valency of the metal, and (b) a sulfur compound from the group consisting of alcohol xanthates and aryl, alcohol and aryl thiuram sulfides, thiourea, alcohol and aryl substituted thiourea, thioamides and thioamides substituted by alcohol and aryl.
