Abstract

This actuator comprises, in a casing (1) divided by a partition (1a) into two compartments, the front pneumatic compartment (1b) and the rear hydraulic compartment (1c), in each of which slide pistons respectively integral in displacement (2 and 6), the rear piston (6) dividing the rear compartment (1c) into two spaces (V1 and V2), it being possible for the front compartment (1b) to be supplied by three fluid inlets (P1-P2-P3), (P1) being placed at the front of the casing so as to push back the pistons (2 and 6) by the maximum amount, (P2) placed in the vicinity of the partition (1a) ensuring the reverse movement, whilst the inlet (P3), situated between (P1) and (P2), displaces a piston (4), the stem (5) of which serves as a slide valve for a distributor opening or closing the passage between the spaces (V1 and V2). This pressure intensifier finds application, in particular, in presses.
