Abstract

Mecanismo de ajuste automático del freno de un vehículo, en particular para un conjunto de freno accionado por cuña, que tiene una zapata de freno móvil con una pastilla de fricción destinada a adaptarse a un tambor de freno circundante, caracterizado porque comprende una carcasa que tiene en su interior un ánima cilíndrica, un conjunto de núcleo móvil o pistón que comprende un tornillo de ajuste colocado a rosca en el interior de un manguito que tiene un extremo alojado deslizantemente y con rotación dentro de un núcleo móvil o pistón montado para efectuar un movimiento rectilíneo en el ánima cilíndrica, cuyo manguito tiene una pluralidad de dientes helicoidales en su superficie externa, un trinquete dentado llevado por la carcasa en una posición axial fija con relación al ánima cilíndrica, medios de resorte que empujan al trinquete dentado radialmente en contacto con los dientes helicoidales, siendo desplazable el conjunto del núcleo móvil o pistón por la cuña para llevar la zapata del freno hacia el tambor y siendo axialmente extensible por rotación del manguito con relación al tornillo de ajuste, para compensar el desgaste de la pastilla de fricción de la zapata del freno, y medios que guía; el manguito en el interior del núcleo móvil o pistón para evitar el desalineamiento axial sustancial del tornillo de ajuste y el manguito con relación al núcleo móvil o pistón.
