Background of the invention

As is known publicly, a good mattress can improve the quality of sleep. However, it is not easy to find a good mattress, for the reason that each individual has their own age, body shape and weight, as well as various support needs. Everyone also has their own sleeping habits and mattress firmness preference. It is not easy for a mattress to meet different needs of a couple at the same time, since they differ in age, body shape and constitution and sleep habits. Even if you can make a mattress that meets your current needs, the mattress in general will be used for 10 years or more, during which time changes in age, body situations and user shape will occur. A mattress will normally have physical damage as time goes by, without the ability to keep up with constant changes in the user's needs. A mattress structure (1) that can offer different degrees of relief to different parts of a user's body, the mattress structure comprises: a main axis, a plurality of relief units (51-59) distributed along the main axis to form a relief layer (5), at least one of the relief units has a relief capacity different from that of the other relief unit To define a relief profile with different relief capacity along the main axis, at least one of the relief units is a main relief unit (52) with a higher relief capacity than the other relief units, where, two or more relief units are different in at least one dimension, the position of the main relief unit relative to the other relief units is changeable by exchanging the position of the relief units relatively with each other along the main axis, so that the position of the main relief unit in the relief layer along the main axis is adjustable per unit length according to the position of the body part along the user's height to customize the layer of relief; wherein the mattress structure comprises a support layer (4) positioned under the relief layer to supplement the relief units to support the user's body; wherein the support layer includes two or more independent support units positioned below the relief layer and optionally, where the unit of length is 2.54 cm (one inch) so that the position of the relief unit main along the main axis can be adjustable by a unit of 2.54 cm (one inch); and optionally, where the relief layer is usable with a conventional mattress and when placed on it. 2. The mattress structure according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of relief units includes at least two major relief units; and optionally, where the two main relief units have different relief capabilities; and optionally, where the at least one dimension of the relief unit includes the dimension that extends parallel to the main axis of the mattress structure, the dimension is designed such that the exchange of the position of the relief units in the relief layer causes the adjustment of the relative distance between the two main relief units along the main axis in unit length; and optionally, where the unit of length is 2.54 cm (one inch) so that the distance between two main relief units along the main axis can be adjustable in a unit of 2.54 cm (one inch) ; and optionally, where the relief layer is usable with a conventional mattress and when placed on it. 3. The mattress structure according to claim 1, further comprising a comfort layer positioned on an upper surface the relief layer for concealing irregularities of the upper surface; and optionally, wherein the support layer comprises a resilient layer; and optionally, wherein the resilient layer comprises a plurality of independent springs or a sponge layer. 4. The mattress structure according to claim 1, wherein the relief layer is divisible into two or more relief zones each corresponds to a part of the user's body, each relief zone is composed of one or more relief units ; and optionally, where the relief layer is divided into three relief zones, a shoulder relief zone to relieve pressure on a user's shoulders, a hip relief zone to relieve pressure on the user's hip and a leg relief zone to relieve pressure on the user's legs. 5. The mattress structure according to claim 1 or claim 2, wherein the plurality of relief units are of different softness to provide different relief capabilities. 6. The mattress structure according to claim 4, wherein the shoulder and hip relief zones each include a main relief unit, and optionally, where the main relief units in the shoulder and hip relief zones have different relief capabilities and are sized to be interchangeable according to user needs; and optionally, where the relief units have different density to offer different degrees of relief. 5 10 fifteen twenty 25 30 35 40 Four. The mattress structure according to any one of claims 1 to 4, further comprising a chassis for accommodating the relief units; and optionally, where the chassis includes a wall, the wall has a sufficient height in superposition with at least part of the thickness of the relief units to delimit the relative positions of the relief units in the relief layer; and optionally, where the chassis is formed of flexible material. 9. The mattress structure according to claim 8, wherein the chassis is divided into two or more chassis areas that are in positions along the main axis corresponding to the relief zones; and optionally, where the chassis area contains at least two relief units to hold them together and secure their relative positions; and optionally, where the chassis area contains at least one support unit and three relief units; and optionally, where the chassis area contains at least one support unit and five relief units. 10. The mattress structure according to claim 3 or claim 7, wherein the relief layer and the support layer each include an opening, the opening in the support layer is in fluid communication with the opening in the relief layer to accommodate a user's head and to form an air passage for the user to breathe; and optionally, where the position of the opening in the support layer corresponds to the position of the opening in the relief layer in the shoulder relief area, the opening of the relief layer is provided in a relief unit whose relative position in the relief layer is changeable to change the relative position of the opening in the relief layer; and optionally, wherein the mattress includes one or more comfort layers placed on top of the relief layer to hide irregularities between the relief units and to form a flat surface, the comfort layer includes an opening that is in fluid communication with the opening in the relief layer and the support layer; and optionally, where the mattress also includes a chassis to contain the relief unit, the chassis includes an air permeable structure to establish air communication with the openings in the relief layer, the support layer and the comfort layer for thereby form an air passage. 11. The mattress structure according to claim 3, further including a supplementary support unit that is positionable between the relief layer and the comfort layer; and optionally, where two of the relief units are major relief units, the two main relief units offer a higher relief capacity compared to that of the other relief units, the supplementary support unit is placed between the two main relief units. 12.
