Abstract
The invention comprises N,N-diphenylisonicotinamide and the preparation thereof by reacting a reactive derivative of the acid, such as the chloride hydrochloride, with diphenylamine in an inert organic solvent. An example is given, and salts of the amide with inorganic and organic acids are referred to. The amide, which is stated to be a tranquillizer, may be made up into pills, tablets, capsules or suspensions. Aqueous solutions of its salts are also referred to.
