Abstract

Un sistema de distribución para distribuir una pluralidad de paquetes de actualización (108) a un dispositivo de configuración (110), estando el dispositivo de configuración configurado para actualizar una pluralidad de dispositivos médicos de paciente (114 - 118), siendo los dispositivos médicos de paciente portátiles por pacientes y ayudando a pacientes y proveedores sanitarios a gestionar enfermedades crónicas, siendo los dispositivos médicos de paciente un medidor de glucosa en sangre, una bomba de insulina y/o un medidor de glucosa continuo como parte del tratamiento médico del paciente, comprendiendo el sistema: - un portal (106) que se configura para permitir que un proveedor de paquete de actualización proporcione un nuevo paquete de actualización (108), en el que el nuevo paquete de actualización (108) incluye un fichero de actualización que contiene una actualización para un dispositivo médico de paciente (114) de la pluralidad de dispositivos médicos de paciente (114 - 118) a actualizar o para las aplicaciones que se ejecutan en los mismos, y datos de paquete que corresponden al fichero de actualización, siendo el fichero de actualización una actualización de software o actualización de firmware, incluyendo los datos de paquete un identificador de actualización que identifica inequívocamente el fichero de actualización, un tipo de atributo que indica un atributo del fichero de actualización, un tipo de paquete que indica el tipo de actualización y datos de dependencia que indican una condición que debe satisfacerse por el dispositivo de configuración (110) de modo que el fichero de actualización del nuevo paquete de actualización (108) puede instalarse en el dispositivo médico de paciente (114) a actualizar después de una actualización del dispositivo de configuración, en el que los datos de dependencia requieren que el dispositivo de configuración (110) ejecute una versión más reciente de su respectivo sistema operativo; - el dispositivo de configuración (110), en el que el dispositivo de configuración está configurado para conectar con el dispositivo médico a actualizar y para usar información del dispositivo médico a actualizar para generar una consulta a un servidor de distribución (102), solicitando la consulta actualizaciones disponibles para el dispositivo médico o aplicaciones que se ejecutan en el mismo, incluyendo el dispositivo de configuración un configurador (112) que está configurado para actualizar la pluralidad de dispositivos médicos con ficheros de actualización de dispositivo y aplicación que se cargan en el servidor de distribución a través del portal; - una base de datos (104) que está configurado para almacenar datos de paquete de la pluralidad de paquetes de actualización (108) y ubicaciones de ficheros de actualización de la pluralidad de paquetes de actualización (108) que incluyen los datos de paquete del nuevo paquete de actualización (108) y una ubicación del fichero de actualización del nuevo paquete de actualización (108); - un módulo de distribución (206) que está configurado para recibir la consulta desde el dispositivo de configuración (110) en nombre del dispositivo médico de paciente (114) a actualizar para solicitar actualizaciones disponibles para el dispositivo médico de paciente (114), para buscar la base de datos usando información contenida en la consulta para determinar una lista de paquetes de actualización disponibles para el dispositivo médico de paciente (114) y para proporcionar la lista de paquetes de actualización disponibles (108) para el dispositivo médico de paciente (114) que incluye el nuevo paquete de actualización (108) al dispositivo de configuración (110) basándose en la consulta y los datos de dependencia de los paquetes de actualización (108), siendo el módulo de distribución (206) una interfaz entre el dispositivo de configuración (110) y el servidor de distribución (102), estando el servidor de distribución configurado para comunicar con el dispositivo de configuración (110) por una red de comunicaciones (122), en el que la lista de paquetes de actualización (108) indica paquetes de actualización disponibles (108) para el dispositivo médico de paciente (114) a actualizar o para las aplicaciones que se ejecutan en los mismos y paquetes de actualización requeridos (108) para el dispositivo de configuración (110), en el que se requiere que los ficheros de actualización de los paquetes de actualización requeridos (108) se instalen en el dispositivo de configuración (110) de modo que el dispositivo de configuración (110) puede configurar el dispositivo médico de paciente (114) a actualizar con al menos un fichero de actualización de los paquetes de actualización disponibles (108).
