Abstract
Method for providing a carbon-coated molybdenum wire with satisfactory adhesion by heating the wire in a gaseous atmosphere containing, among other chlorine and carbon compounds, characterized by the fact that the chlorine and carbon compound is chloroform (CHC13) and the wire is heated to a temperature of less than 1000ºC for such a short period of time that the thickness of the carbon coating will not exceed two microns.
