Dispositivo (102) convertidor para convertir una potencia (106) de entrada a una potencia (108) de salida eléctrica, comprendiendo el dispositivo (102) convertidor: - una entrada (118) de tensión para recibir una señal (120) de tensión, siendo indicativa dicha señal (120) de tensión de una tensión en una red (112) eléctrica a la cual está conectado el dispositivo (102) convertidor durante el funcionamiento con el fin de proporcionar dicha potencia (108) de salida eléctrica a dicha red (112) eléctrica; - un controlador (122); en donde - el controlador es configurado para configurar un ángulo de fase entre la tensión y la intensidad de la potencia (108) de salida eléctrica a un valor (170a, 170b fuera de banda constante si la tensión indicada por la señal (120) de tensión está fuera de una banda (ΔUb) de tensión predeterminada, y manteniendo la magnitud del ángulo de fase constante durante un fallo en la red cuando la tensión indicada por la señal (120) de tensión está fuera de la banda (ΔUb) de tensión predeterminada; caracterizado porque - el controlador (122) está configurado para cambiar el ángulo de fase entre la tensión y la intensidad de la potencia (108) de salida en el límite de dicho intervalo de tensión predeterminado de una manera escalonada; y - el controlador (122) está configurado para funcionar con un valor dentro de banda constante del ángulo de fase entre la tensión y la intensidad de la potencia (108) de salida eléctrica así la tensión indicada por la señal (120) de tensión está dentro de la banda de tensión predeterminada.
