Abstract

Un sistema de enfriamiento por agua para una pistola de plasma (2), que comprende: un enfriador de agua estructurado y dispuesto para eliminar el calor del agua de enfriamiento para ser suministrado a la pistola de plasma (2); un controlador (7); y por lo menos una válvula de flujo (8) acoplada a y bajo el control del controlador (7) para ajustar un flujo de agua de enfriamiento, caracterizado por que el controlador (7) está estructurado y dispuesto para monitorear un voltaje de la pistola de la pistola de plasma (2); y el controlador (7) está configurado para controlar la por lo menos una válvula de flujo (8), cuando el voltaje de la pistola cae por debajo de un valor predeterminado, con el fin de incrementar la temperatura de la pistola de plasma y, en forma correspondiente, el voltaje de la pistola.
