Abstract

The application relates to an inflatable cushion, in particular a pillow cushion, which can be used in the medical field. According to the invention, the cushion consists of two chambers, of which one chamber (2) encloses a constant quantity of air while the other chamber (1) can be inflated to a desired pressure. The non-inflatable chamber serves as a support surface for a patient's head and is situated in the centre of the cushion. The outer inflatable chamber can afford the neck a greater or lesser degree of support, depending upon the air pressure chosen.
