Abstract

Procedimiento para producir un chapeado de madera de acabado resinoso con una película de resina de fraguado térmico de ftalato dialílico adherido al mismo, caracterizada porque una lámina de papel sin recubrir, sin pintura, de un grosor entre 3 y 6 milésimas, está impregnada en una solución que contenga: ftalato dialílico, siendo el 90 al 100 por ciento del mismo un polímero termoplástico, y el resto del 0 al 10 % un monómero; conteniendo asimismo una cantidad catalítica de un peróxido orgánico; más una cantidad efectiva de un agente de desprendimiento; y un disolvente volátil; secándose el citado papel hasta que la impregnación dada al mismo es del 75 % al 95 % fr ftalato dialílico por peso de papel impregnado seco; conteniendo un contacto residual volátil de menos de un 8 % medido como volátil después de calentar el papel seco durante unos 10 minutos a 320º F.; aplicándose láminas de este papel de recubrimiento impregnado y seco sobre la superficie del chapeado de madera, a temperatura ypresión suficientes para la conversión del ftalato dialílico en resina de fraguado térmico, produciéndose un chapeado de madera con un revestimiento de una superficie de resina perfecta.
