But the mechanism recommended by the present invention is that of screwing, as it has great real roots in the daily lives of people in many countries. The thread is already present in a common object in which we do not repair because it is very everyday for us: the common or Edison bulb (US304086 patent, August 26, 1884). There are already several generations that associate it inextricably with electricity and have screwed it countless times in a lampholder through many of the corners of the five continents.

Said habit is that which is used in the present invention. This, then, is the reason to take advantage of it and prefer it as a locking mechanism here, although, of course, there could be many others.

THE MODIFICATION OF THE THREAD. Thus, receptacles R and modules M are coupled by means of a thread that takes advantage of the generalized custom with the use of the Edison bulb, although said thread is modified slightly so that the two parts lock each other in a sufficiently fixed way or

permanent (Figs. 8-10). It is recommended that the thread of the module M be secured within the antagonistic thread of the receptacle R because in its final section the filleting that constitutes it is gradually detached until it configures, as it were, an upright arm 30 (Fig. 10), at the end of which there is a prominent portion (called an end 31 of the arm 30, Fig. 10), which is the one that properly locks with a recess (called eyelet 32 of the receptacle R, Figs. 8 and 9). If the receptacle R is provided with such an eyelet 32, the arm 30 of the module M must end at one or the other end 31 of the arm, which is more or less perpendicular to the axis of said arm 30, for example, a cylinder or, better, a parallelepiped that fits in such a buttonhole 32 properly. This implies that the section of the polyhedral cap 31 of the arm 30 must be antagonistic in the manner of the buttonhole 32, that is, that the section of the cap 31 more or less perpendicular to the arm 30, must be identical to that of the buttonhole 32, while, to join without hindrance, the thickness of said volume of the punch 31 must be slightly less than that of its antagonistic hole. This is the finishing solution 31 that offers the most fixed or safe locking.

There is the alternative of making the receptacle R, instead of a complete hole, a simple recess of spherical section in its inner face, called crater 32 (Fig. 11), in which case arm 30, reciprocally, has to end in a kind of hemisphere 31 (Fig. 12) that fits into said crater 32 of the receptacle R. This last solution for the end 31 of the arm 30 offers the user a more comfortable, if somewhat less fixed, lock. The volume of the end 31 requires an initial dewrinkle of the filleting 15 that guides the antagonist thread of the module M with ease (Fig. 9 in the case of the polyhedral end-eyelet 31-32, and Fig. 11 in the half sphere sphere - crater 31-32). To unlock the coupling of the pair of polyhedral cap 31 and buttonhole 32, it is only necessary to use some common everyday object, such as the tip of a key or an office clip, exerting pressure on the cap 31 to dislodge it from the buttonhole 32.

If the manufacturer chooses the locking method consisting of hemisphere 32 and crater 31, or equivalent, said manufacturer may have the courtesy to indicate the point of the receptacle R at which he will have to press to effect the unlocking of the module M of sideburns. But, under what circumstances would anyone have to unlock and unscrew one module M and attach another to the receptacle R? OTHER REALIZATIONS. There are other embodiments, of very different nature to the recommended one, and perhaps of interest to the manufacturer, which can be carried out by agglutinating, omitting or otherwise modifying what is stated in these pages. For example, a generic R receptacle can be produced, so to speak, coupled to the regional M modules, which would leave the machines without specific identifiers and which would be the basis of all plugs for all electrical appliances and devices. From another point of view, as uneconomic as it may be, other variations could be conceived on the same subject of the present invention, consisting of embodiments such as the previous ones on the basis of a plug, not already binary, but unitary, with the same dome shape , or with another that is deemed appropriate, and produce a unit plug per device for each region, with its Identifiers, recommended or others, in recommended number, in three-pole distribution and made with the recommended relief or with other variations, such as described above. It had been claimed that the identification of devices has never worked in the past because it has never been truly automated, that is, because the great weight of the act of identification has never truly ceased to fall on users. The alternative embodiments outlined in the preceding paragraphs are undoubtedly conceivable and possible, but they suffer, they and others, that move away from the axiom that it is the machines that have the true capacity to standardize or, in other words, dangerously close to return to the same situation prevailing at present of dependence on the actions of the users, so that identification would not finally be generalized. But it is evident that such distancing is finally the power of the manufacturer. The conclusion is clear: all "solutions" of this type depart, to varying degrees, from the inventive goal of making the user experience as easy as possible, a key factor in any standardization of behaviors.

The inventor is aware of the wide variety of identification possibilities that the present invention opens to manufacturers. It is also that this does not exempt him from his obligation to make, clearly and bluntly, a recommendation based on the way he sees the human eye, since the inventive goal has the other of its two pillars in the ease of the user. Thus, finally, the preferred and, therefore, merely recommended embodiment consists in placing three Identifiers in each of the three Columns that, located with their axes equidistant from each other in order to form the Tripod, are distributed by the receptacle R ( Fig. 1). THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION. As regards the proper electrical connection between R receptacles and M modules, in theory several embodiments also fit. However, the main criterion that has guided the recommendation in this case is to minimize the risk of electrocution (infants, disabled and distracted). universal identifier of electrical devices designed to provide a standardizable solution and, therefore, with a definitive vocation, to the usual problem of instantly and correctly identifying the device to be plugged in or unplugged in all regions, CEI

or not, of the world; and that, due to its characteristics, it is also conceived to suppose a saving of micro electrical and material losses. The General Purpose Plug - whose optical features are easily adaptable to the requirements of use and market, both of chargers and of the "singular" or special plugs, and whose general physical features, although not so easily adaptable, do not prevent all such adaptation if the use of the apparatus, machine or device makes an increase (or decrease) of its dimensions permissible—, it consists of two parts in which the minimum modification to the standard plugs is embodied: a single R receptacle and modules M of specific pins for each of said standard IEC regions (and even for other non-standard sockets still scattered by some countries) (Fig. 24). It is recommended that the manufacture of said R receptacles and M modules supposes the minimum alteration to the existing manufacturing procedures. In the receptacle R it is recommended, above all, that they come from the factory, in each of the three identification columns 10, three identifying elements 11 or main identifiers which, in descending order, are: the personal identifier 14 or customization (Fig. 2); the facsimile icon identifier 12 representative of the device or apparatus (Fig. 2); and the representative identifier of the mark 13, logo or other characteristic chosen by the manufacturer of the device or apparatus in question to be identified as such (Fig. 2); and, second, that the three columns of identifiers 10 (Fig. 1) are distributed so that they form a tripodal structure or distribution (Fig. 30) on the surface of said receptacle R. ENVIRONMENTAL DIMENSION OF THE PRESENT INVENTION. One last consideration remains to be done. The general purpose plug has also been designed to alleviate an environmental waste that is not obvious to the naked eye and therefore deserves a brief mention. Interregional adapters to use today tend to imply a greater waste of resources because in reality they are, in themselves, a whole new plug. The fact that the present invention allows us to conceive that the user can easily plug in, and with greater economy, any device practically everywhere, at the same time that the manufacturer will be able to make a unique receptacle R identifier for all markets in the world, in both cases thanks to the simple resource of unscrewing the original M-pin module and replacing it with that of the region concerned, has several environmental consequences. The mere replacement of these adapters by the modules M, with the parallel conservation of the receptacle R, supposes, from its very conception, a great saving of materials.

With existing adapters, the connection is also much less stable than it is with the present invention, since any new M module of pins fits equally well in the invariable receptacle R. The mini losses of electrical consumption caused by the small instability of typical connection of the current adapters would be of no importance if literally millions and millions of times every year in the world do not occur, mini losses that, added all, may involve a negligible expense of electricity that can be save on a planet with limited resources. Likewise, the mere change of one module M of pins by another one, equally stable, eliminates the impulse to which users sometimes succumb to replace the charger or the C cable of

If, instead of dying in isolation in the landfills of many countries, we would bring them together in one place in the world, perhaps we would discover that all these loaders or occasional C power cables would form a mountain of waste of materials with a height again Nothing negligible.
