Al intentar separar el terminal macho del terminal hembra, el conector de material termoplastico se mueve hacia atras respecto del terminal hembra hasta que la pared inclinada 51 topa con la cabeza 23 de la pestana 21. La pared inclinada 51 empuja la cabeza 23 hacia atras, obligandola a rotar hacia abajo. De esta manera la una de retencion 27 sale del orificio 61 del cabezal de insercion 59 y se desbloquea el terminal macho.
