Molded sole for footwear with high anti-impact properties

The present patent application for an industrial invention relates to a molded sole for footwear with high anti-impact properties, which is capable of absorbing the blow of the foot with the ground during walking.

At the moment, a dense series of flexible protrusions obtained when the sole is molded are currently used to ensure soft and elastically flexible foot support.

Said protuberances are configured in its mayona as hollow segments of a sphere or thin cylindrical studs with a rounded tip, designed to decrease or bend laterally each time the foot unloads the body weight only first in the metatarsal area of the foot, and then in Toes

In case of a dense series of thin cylindrical studs the upper surface of the sole is quite continuous, while in the case of hollow segments with significant dimensions the upper surface of the sole is configured as a cross-linking of ribs.

Obviously, in both cases, the template adheres to the upper face of the sole which, in the presence of protrusions with hollow structure, does not find a continuous surface and rests on a flat reticulation of ribs that line the series of hollow protuberances.

While the bumps tend to decrease in their central area due to the weight of the foot, their side walls maintain a certain stiffness that perceives the foot at the edges surrounding the series of dimples on the upper side of the sole.

In the long term the template tends to suffer a punctiform series of subsidence due to the contrast effect in the absence of a support surface in the center of each dimple and the high rigidity at the edges of the penimeter, which correspond to the walls of the hollow protuberances.

This punctiform sinking of the template is usually accompanied by the appearance of folds or wrinkles, favored by the natural perspiration of the foot, especially in the warm seasons of the anus, since moisture tends to soften the material, usually natural or synthetic leather, of Template.

US 3 533 171 describes a sole for footwear comprising a plurality of semicircular protrusions forming respective depressions. A circular groove is provided around the root of each protuberance to improve the high deformation and flexibility of the protuberance.

The main objective of the present invention is to remedy the aforementioned inconvenience by providing a new sole for one-piece molded footwear that, although provided with an "anti-impact" structure, is characterized by having a series of elastically flexible protuberances, which provides a stable surface sufficiently sharp to support the template.

These and other purposes have been achieved with the sole of the footwear of the invention, whose main features are illustrated in the first claim.

The shoe sole of the invention comprises a dense series of hollow protrusions protruding from the bottom surface of the sole, so that the opening of the internal cavity is oriented towards one side of the sole.

Therefore, the protuberances include a lateral surface and a base surface.

The peculiarity of the sole consists in the presence of a perimeter channel that surrounds each protuberance in the corner of connection between the sole and the lateral surface.

The perimeter channel reduces the thickness of the sole around each protuberance, thus giving each protuberance a greater capacity for elastic deformation, with special reference to the side walls that are free to bend laterally, both towards the center and towards the outside of each bump.

In other words, due to the smaller thickness, each protuberance tends to decrease laterally instead of contracting downwards under pressure, causing swelling of the lateral wall and the discharge of the compression load at the edges of the reticulation of the dimples.

The greater capacity of flexural deformation of the protuberances results in a more comfortable footwear with better "anti-impact" properties than traditional soles.

For purposes of clarity, the description of the sole of footwear of the invention continues with reference to the accompanying drawings, which are intended for illustrative purposes only and not in a limiting sense, in which:

- Figure 1 is an exploded axonometric top view of the sole of the invention;

- Figure 2 is a lower axonometric view of the sole for footwear in accordance with the present invention;

- Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view of a portion of the sole for shoes according to the present invention.

With reference to Figure 1, the sole (1) of the invention is molded from a piece of natural or synthetic rubber or other thermoformable and elastically flexible soft materials that are traditionally used in the footwear industry.

The sole (1), which has a lower band (1 a) and an upper side (1 b), is covered at the top by a traditional type insole.

The lower surface of said sole (1) is provided with a dense series of internally hollow protrusions (2), each of which includes a horizontal flat bottom surface (2a) and a basically vertical lateral surface (2b) connected with the first surface (2a) without interruption.

With reference to figure 2, the upper side of the sole (1) is provided with a dense series of dimples (3) that coincide with the internal cavity of said protuberances (2), which protrude in the sole band (1 ).

The dense series of dimples (3) represents the mesh of a cross-linking of flat ribs (4), and the series of protrusions (2) in the tread (1 a) are bordered by a cross-linking of grooves (5) that correspond to the crosslinking of flat ribs (4).

With reference to Figure 3, the lateral surface (2b) of each protuberance (2) and the lower horizontal surface (2a) have a constant thickness, while the section (6) of the band (1 a) joining a pair of adjacent protuberances (2) does not have a constant cross section.

Section (6) of the band (1a) can also be defined as the bottom wall of each slot (5) that separates the adjacent protuberances (2).

More precisely, the band (1 a) is provided with a series of channels (7), each of which surrounds the base of each protuberance (2).

The channels (7) reduce the thickness of the section (6) of the band, which favors the elastic deformation of the side wall (2b) of each protuberance (2) under compression and flexion.

At the same time, a higher thickness of the central portion (6a) of the section (6) guarantees sufficient stiffness of the sole (1), so that each protuberance (2) deforms without affecting or conditioning the deformation of the protuberance adjacent (2).
