Abstract

Método y dispositivo para la caracterización del estado de uso de los billetes de banco y su clasificación en aptos y no aptos para la circulación, que evita errores en dicha clasificación, impidiendo que billetes no aptos sean puestos de nuevo en circulación, y que billetes aptos sean erróneamente destruidos de forma prematura. El método comprende capturar (1) al menos una imagen de al menos una de las caras de un billete a analizar, y analizar (4) en el dominio espacial la imagen captada. Además se analiza (5) en el dominio de la frecuencia la imagen captada y se combinan (13) ambos análisis (4, 5), mediante un algoritmo matemático, para obtener un único valor denominado FV.
