Abstract

The hanger hook for crutches and canes provides them with a component that allows a firm and stable placement on usual surfaces such as a table or a chair, during periods of time when these supports are not being handled. parts: a base bushing (Fig. 1 - A) with its housing throats (Fig. 1 - C) for the hook, and a curved U-shaped hook (Fig. 1 - B). # This component is it is housed in the crutch bar itself (Fig. 3 - F), under the grip handle (Fig. 3 - G). # The bushing constitutes the support base where the hook itself is housed. Object of the invention

The object of this invention is to equip the crutches and canes of an element that allows a firm and stable placement on surfaces or usual objects such as a table or a chair, during periods of time in which these supports are unused, say in repose.

Background of the invention

At present there are many types of supports, made of lightweight and resistant materials, improved ergonomics, adjustable, etc.

But when not being used, canes and crutches should be placed or supported somewhere until they are reused.

Given the size and morphological characteristics of these supports, lacking a grip system, the difficulty is finding a sufficiently firm and stable position to support or place them. On many occasions, in the absence of another resource, the crutches end up on the ground.

The hanging hook for crutches and canes is mainly composed of two pieces: a base bushing (Fig. 1-A) with its housing throats (Fig. 1-C) for the hook, and a U-piece (Fig. 1- B) curved hook-shaped.

This group is housed in the crutch bar itself (Fig. 3-F), under the grip handle (Fig. 3-G).

The bushing (Fig. 1-A) constitutes the support base where the hook itself is housed (Fig. 1-B). This bushing can be fused to the top of the crutch in its fabrication, or it can be an independent accessory element.

The hook inserted in the bushing by the ends of the U pivots on it between two fixed positions provided, folded (Fig. 2-D) and deployed (Fig. 2-E).

In the folded position, the hook hugs the crutch bar (Fig. 3-H) minimizing its presence during normal use. Once the hook is deployed, approximately at a right angle to the bar (Fig. 3-F), the crutch can be placed or hung from a support (Fig. 4).
