Abstract

The invention relates to a roller for a belt conveyor, the roller comprising a plurality of discs (3) arranged on a flexible cord (1) which is itself supported by a core formed by a metallic cable. The flexible cord (1) carries anchorage ribs (2) for the discs (3) and wedging ribs (4) arranged to wedge the discs (3). Each anchorage rib (2) is arranged between two wedging ribs (4) such that each disc is incapable of becoming prematurely detached from the flexible cord (1).
