Abstract

La invención se encuadra en el sector de tecnología de la madera, en la inspección de elementos y estructuras de madera. Se trata de un dispositivo que, acoplado a una taladradora comercial, extrae un volumen de madera determinado en forma de virutas. Estas permiten estimar la densidad de la pieza de madera ensayada mediante la relación entre su masa y el volumen del hueco generado. Las virutas que se producen durante el taladrado se recogen en una bolsa de papel filtro monouso. La técnica de uso implica fijar el diámetro de broca y la profundidad de taladrado estableciendo así un volumen conocido de extracción, para la estimación de la densidad de la madera. De esta forma se puede correlacionar con sus propiedades físico-mecánicas.
