Microbial strain terribacillus sp. Ae2b 122 with the ability to carry out transesterification reactions and uses thereof. The present invention relates to a bacterial strain of the genus terribacillus, termed terribacillus sp. Ae2b 122 capable of carrying out transesterification reactions and the use thereof, or of the supernatant obtained from its culture, in the production of biodiesel. This strain has been shown to have a high capacity for the production of biodiesel, which is reflected in the high conversion values of oils to diglycerides and fatty acid esters, which reach 100%. It is also noteworthy that the supernatant obtained from the culture of said bacterial strain is stable after several cycles of transesterification.
