Abstract
Consiste en un sistema eléctrico de potencia que cumple las funciones de motor auxiliar, arrancador del motor de combustión interna y sistema de generación para el suministro eléctrico en una aeronave. La principal aplicación de la invención es ofrecer una alternativa de propulsión a una aeronave cuando el motor de combustión no esté operativo. Consta de un motor-generador-arrancador eléctrico conectado al motor de pistón, donde el motor-generador-arrancador eléctrico es movido por el motor de combustión generando energía eléctrica que es almacenada en una batería, un sistema de control de carga y descarga de la batería, un sistema de control electrónico, un sistema de indicación y control en cabina y un embrague conectado entre el motor-generador-arrancador eléctrico y el motor principal (puede integrar también una caja de engranajes).
