Abstract
Proceso de eliminación de nutrientes de aguas residuales mediante fotobiotratamiento con microorganismos fotosintéticos. Consiste en un proceso en el que se emplean dos reactores; uno de contacto, que incluye la separación de la biomasa del agua mediante procesos de filtración por membrana sumergida y un segundo reactor de crecimiento (fotobiorreactor) donde se favorece el crecimiento de la biomasa a expensas solamente de las reservas acumuladas en el reactor de contacto. El proceso permite el tratamiento de forma continuada de día y noche gracias a sus dos modos de operación: Diurno en el que la corriente concentrada saliente del reactor de contacto es enviada al fotobiorreactor y la recirculación al reactor de contacto se realiza desde el fotobiorreactor y Nocturno en el que la corriente concentrada saliente del reactor de contacto es purgada y la recirculación se realiza desde el depósito de purga diurna del fotobiorreactor.
