An improved furniture unit hung from panels that includes a main body and end supports releasably secured thereto, whereby different main bodies can be secured to said end support, one of said end supports being located at each end of said main body for supporting said furniture unit in panel means, wherein each end support includes hooks for hooking into perforated supports in said panels, each of said end supports including at least one side wall defining the end of said furniture unit and including at least one rear wall that generally extends laterally with respect to said side wall, the improvement consisting in that at least one panel is located at the end of said furniture unit and including therein said perforated support means; and at least one protruding hook means in at least one of said end supports extends laterally out from said side wall of said end support instead of backwards from said rear wall thereof, whereby said furniture unit can be releasably mounted on said panel located at the end of said furniture unit.
