Abstract
Membranas reforzadas basadas en líquidos iónicos poliméricos para su aplicación en procesos de transporte de iones y métodos de fabricación de dichas membranas.#La presente invención hace referencia a membranas con capacidad de transporte de iones. Más concretamente, la invención se refiere a membranas poliméricas reforzadas con alta capacidad de transporte iónico, especialmente fabricadas para su uso en tecnologías de membranas de intercambio de protones (conocidas como PEMs), que comprenden polímeros de líquido iónico formados a partir de, al menos, una sal de líquido iónico monomérico. El refuerzo de dichas membranas se consigue mediante estructuras porosas de naturaleza inorgánica o polimérica, mediante co-polimerización con un agente reticulante (cross-linker) o mediante combinación de ambas estrategias. En este último caso, la mezcla de la sal de líquido iónico y agente reticulante se encuentra dispuesta en los poros de la matriz de la estructura de refuerzo, produciéndose la copolimerización ultravioleta in situ.Reinforced membranes based on polymeric ionic liquids for application in ion transport processes and methods of manufacturing said membranes. # The present invention relates to membranes with ion transport capacity. More specifically, the invention relates to reinforced polymeric membranes with high ionic transport capacity, especially manufactured for use in proton exchange membrane technologies (known as PEM’s), which comprise ionic liquid polymers formed from, at least one salt of monomeric ionic liquid. The reinforcement of said membranes is achieved by porous structures of inorganic or polymeric nature, by co-polymerization with a cross-linking agent ("cross-linker") or by combination of both strategies. In the latter case, the mixture of the salt of ionic liquid and crosslinking agent is arranged in the pores of the matrix of the reinforcing structure, producing ultraviolet copolymerization in situ.
