Process for obtaining gas impervious gaskets between a sleeve and a prolonged rod inside it characterized by comprising placing a first tubular forming element analogous to a diver inside the sleeve and in plug relation around the rod; placing a load of shredded material through the sleeve in the shaping element; placing a second tubular shaped and diver shaped element inside the sleeve in a plug relation with the rod and in front of the load of shredded material; heating the load of shredded material and the sleeve and the rod to the temperature of the interlock and pushing the forming elements towards each other to transform the material into a solid sealing body impervious to the gas that fills the space between the rod and the sleeve and locked to these two elements.
