Elemento combustible para reactores nucleares rápidos refrigerados por gas.#Elemento combustible que tiene como pieza básica una jaula esférica (1), hecha de varillas curvas metálicas resistentes que se disponen y entrelazan según una geometría reticular esférica, no necesariamente regular en las figuras geométricas formadas, que deja la mayor parte de su superficie esférica virtual abierta, y por tanto traspasable por un fluido en movimiento; y el combustible nuclear se aloja en una o varias piezas envainadas inscritas en la jaula esférica, bien en discos inscritos en la jaula, bien en una corona esférica, delimitada interiormente por una pieza esférica metálica hueca y exteriormente por una vaina estanca inscrita en la jaula esférica mediante unas patillas metálicas soldadas a nudos de la jaula.Fuel element for gas-cooled rapid nuclear reactors. # Fuel element whose basic part is a spherical cage (1), made of resistant metal curved rods that are arranged and interwoven according to a spherical reticular geometry, not necessarily regulated in the geometric figures formed , which leaves most of its virtual spherical surface open, and therefore transferable by a moving fluid; and the nuclear fuel is housed in one or several sheathed pieces inscribed in the spherical cage, either in discs inscribed in the cage, or in a spherical crown, delimited internally by a hollow metal spherical piece and externally by a sealed sheath inscribed in the cage spherical by means of metal pins welded to cage knots.
