Abstract

Improved cradle-shaped support for a bathtub, comprising a pair of tubular cradle members, each formed by a pair of tubular leg members spaced opposite one another and a laterally disposed tubular spacer member extending between the legs. Leg members next to one end thereof, characterized in that said spacer member has a t-connector secured to each end thereof and at least one cushion member located thereon, each of the leg members being slidable within the opposite branches of their respective t-connector, means for securing the t-connectors at a predetermined location on the leg members, means for varying the effective length of the leg members, the opposite end of each leg member being susceptible to be located in a blind bore of an associated receptacle member, each of said receptacle members having a complementary surface of the bottom surface of a tub volute for application thereto, said complementary surface being located at the blind end of said bore, a laterally disposed lip portion extending from said complementary surface for application to an edge portion turned toward inside said tub volute, and said receptacle member having a laterally disposed core extending therefrom, applicable to the exterior wall of a bathtub.
