Abstract

Description

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a ballast system for capes and crutches, whose obvious purpose is to establish a ballast in correspondence with the bottom of a bullfighter cape or crutch, and prevent the wind tends to rise and move in case of wind.

The object of the invention is to prevent a bullfighter crutch or cape from being moved by the wind and minimize the danger to the bullfighter himself.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

It is evident that on windy days the capes and crutches used by bullfighters in bullfighting celebrations, to fight or throw bulls, move very easily, since they are simple fabrics that although they have a remarkable thickness, however they do not have enough weight and move due to the breadth of both the cape and the crutch.

Obviously that wind affects the capes and crutches moving and lifting them in part, which entails the "uncovering" of the bullfighter with the consequent risk and danger that this involves in each set that he performs with the cape or crutch, regardless of the discomfort

derived from the movement of the crutch or cape.

Currently, the bullfighters solve this problem by wetting the cape or crutch so that it acquires a greater weight and partially avoids moving or lifting the cape or crutch, although this wetting is insufficient in most cases.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The system that has been recommended has been conceived to solve the problem described above, based on a simple solution but of great efficiency, since it is based on establishing a ballast of the lower part of the cape or crutch to prevent windy days from being carry out the lifting or movement of said cape or crutch during the sets by the bullfighter.

The ballast is constituted by a textile tube in whose interior a plurality of small metal pieces are housed that are substantially separated and immobilized by means of transverse ties, being established along the textile element or tube with the metal parts inside, a series of small and successive pockets, forming a unique body of remarkable flexibility, as a consequence of the fact that the transverse knots that delimit the brackets and separate the metal parts inside are established as only textile parts in those separations, hence the remarkable flexibility that is provided to the ballasting element.

The way to be fixed or attached the cord or textile tube with the metal parts referred to, can be very diverse, from being inserted inside

of the fabric that forms the cape or crutch, or in a hem confounded to that effect on the lower edge of that crutch or cape, with the particularity that two or even more weighted cords can be incorporated, in case it is so believes necessary, or logically depending on the user and their weight.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

As can be seen in the aforementioned figures, the ballast system object of the invention is constituted by a tubular and textile element (1) in which a plurality of small metal parts substantially separated from each other and immobilized by transverse ties (2) are housed. ), establishing a succession of small pockets (3), each corresponding to a metal part inside, which by virtue of these transversal ties (2) provide flexibility to the textile element or tube (l) with the small pieces metallic inside, thus constituting as a whole a ballast cord applicable in correspondence with the lower edge of a hood (4) or a crutch (5), as shown in Figures 3 and 4, where the cord or textile tube with the metal parts inside, due to its flexibility, you can establish an arched contour that follows the perimeter line and curve of the bottom edge of a hood, or a straight path following the inferior and rectilinear edge of a crutch, as can be seen in the commented figures 3 and 4.

The cord thus constituted will be inserted inside the fabric that forms the cape (4) or crutch (5) or a hem formed in that lower edge of the cape (4) or crutch (5), which logically will be sewn or closed by any appropriate means once the cord or textile tube (1) has been introduced with the metal parts inside, without ruling out that if it is convenient, when the cord or textile tube is thin, two or more can be introduced to establish the appropriate ballast system of the cape or crutch.

In this way it is possible to provide a ballast that endows the cape or crutch with sufficient weight, SIn vary at all the characteristics of the fabric that form these elements of cape and crutch, all this in order to prevent bullfighters in windy days are in danger or are uncomfortable when performing bullfighting sets, since the cape or crutch with the ballast system referred to will not move in the slightest and will not rise, without the classic "uncovering" of the bullfighter.
