Abstract

Esta invención describe un método que tiene como punto de partida una imagen tridimensional del corazón. Sobre dicha imagen se define una región de interés. Por otra parte se define la superficie que se representará, en forma de malla de polígonos tridimensional, en la visualización. Se asocia a cada vértice de la malla una función que asigna pesos a cada elemento de la región de interés. Utilizando dichas funciones junto con los valores de intensidad de los elementos la región de interés, se asignan parámetros de visualización a los vértices. Dichos parámetros se utilizan para generar la visualización interactiva de la superficie. Una aplicación del método sería su utilización como apoyo para la caracterización del sustrato miocárdico de taquicardias ventriculares en pacientes con cardiopatías isquémicas y en el guiado de procedimientos de ablación para corregir dichas taquicardias.
