Abstract

Métodos y sistemas para extender la arquitectura de IMS/SIP de la NGN con el fin de proporcionar servicio de QoS a flujos portadores genéricos. Se da soporte al tratamiento de QoS de un flujo portador destinado a un cliente no de SIP enganchado a la red a través de un segmento de enganche conectado a una pasarela de enganche. Se recibe un mensaje de INVITAR de SIP relacionado con el flujo portador. El mensaje de INVITAR de SIP contiene un Identificador de Recursos Universal (URI) que identifica un cliente no de SIP como destino para el flujo portador. Se realiza un intento de instalar una política o criterio de QoS en el segmento de enganche de acuerdo con una Especificación de Tráfico (T -Spec) identificada en el mensaje de INVITAR de SIP, y se detecta el resultado del intento de instalación. Se genera un intercambio de mensajes o mensajería de SIP apropiada en representación del cliente no de SIP, bien para aceptar o bien para rechazar el flujo portador, basándose en el resultado detectado.
