Abstract

The invention relates to a hanging file according to the preamble of claim 1.

Hanging files are a widely used sorting system for paper archiving. They offer the possibility of archiving in a simple way the most diverse documentation, usually printed, drawings, photos, etc., existing in paper form, in a clearly visible and easily attainable way.

Hanging files usually include so-called hanging folders or hanging filing cabinets with two side walls, which supported below by a common line of bending or edge, are linked together directly or interleaving a section of bottom usually reinforced, laid rather horizontal when is it used.

The most diverse equipment or suspension brackets are provided on the upper side of both side walls that form the hanging file or the hanging folder, with which the hanging file can be easily suspended for example in a guide rail system and when necessary be removed again.

As suspension brackets, metal clamps are often used, which at their opposite ends are provided, for example, with appendages that protrude downwards and thus can support support rails

or sections of lateral support rails. If necessary, the hanging files or hanging folders thus suspended easily along the suspension rail can be slid.

A corresponding hanging file cabinet with two side walls and a bottom section with suspension rails at the top, which on their opposite sides have suspension appendages that protrude downward, is known for example from GB 1 303 553 and the document DE-AS 1 236 472. The folders are usually configured here as covers, that is, cardboard, so that they have a certain stiffness, even though they can still be folded in the known manner.

In addition, it is also basically known that the use of hanging files that rather have filing cabinets as a fabric, suspended more or less freely, as is known from DE 298 21 381 U1 or document CH 183 700.

As is known, only the respective suspended folders or filing cabinets are presented with limited storage and loading spaces. In order to be able to load much more paper, the so-called hanging filing cabinets that have spines or bottoms between the side walls of different widths, usually reinforced with plastic, have been proposed, so that the hanging filing cabinet thus formed has no view V-shaped front, but rather U-shaped with a fixed horizontal background.

Therefore, since in many cases a different width is desired, there is, on the one hand, the possibility of buying according to the needs of hanging filing cabinets with different width, that is, with a bottom of different width. According to document DE 1 182 202, it has already been proposed to use hanging folders with a bottom, that is, a filing cabinet, the filing bottom being configured such that it can be curved to a different width forming lateral wall sections. The side wall sections are lifted and can then be joined by a locking device that can be released with the side walls of the file itself. But this requires, depending on the needs, a disassembly and reassembly of the different filing cabinets, to enable adaptation to different widths.

According to DE 830 045 it has also been proposed, in order to achieve an adaptation to different widths for the different hanging filing cabinets, to fix in each case both side walls that form a filing cabinet, a flexible bottom at the bottom. If the side walls are brought together to reduce the width of a file cabinet, then hang the bottom further down. If the side wall sections are separated to form a larger accommodation space, then the bottom that hangs down is raised more and more.

From the document defining type FR 2 067 132 a hanging file is known in the form of a hanging filing cabinet, which includes a first and a second side wall with an intermediate wall, the intermediate wall can be folded between a first and a second side wall between a vertically oriented position and a position collapsed on the contrary by about 90 °, forming in this position a bottom for the filing cabinet. In addition, a support or joint device is provided in which the collapsed intermediate wall that functions as a bottom is fastened.

By the aforementioned prior publication, but also by document CH 342 201 it is further taken as known that the hanging file may be configured such that the support or suspension device is not housed in the intermediate wall.

On the contrary, it is the task of the present invention to achieve an improved hanging file, which allows a simple and fully effective adaptation especially by forming a large housing space for a so-called hanging folder or a so-called hanging file cabinet.

The task is solved according to the invention with the characteristics indicated in claim 1. Advantageous configurations of the invention are indicated in the dependent claims.

Within the framework of the present invention, a possibility of modifying a so-called hanging filing cabinet or hanging folder, which usually includes two lateral side wall sections, converging at the bottom and joined together, with a simple means is achieved in a simple manner. simple operation such that the same hanging folder provides a much larger accommodation space.

In the context of the invention this is possible by means of a folding intermediate wall. The intermediate wall can rotate between an at least essentially vertical orientation and an open position collapsed rather towards the horizontal position.

In the rather vertical orientation, the intermediate wall functions as the second side wall opposite the first side wall and which forms the corresponding hanging filing cabinet, since this intermediate wall, as in traditional hanging files, is also joined in the lower face directly or indirectly, for example under a section of the bottom wall, with the first side wall, whereby a hanging file cabinet that is V-shaped or side-view is almost formed by the first side wall and the intermediate wall U shape, similar to traditional hanging cabinets. Of course this intermediate wall can be folded from the first side wall away from it to an approximately horizontal position, such that this intermediate wall directly reaches a section of the bottom wall between the first side wall and a next side wall, which is located Free, from the hanging file. Thus a housing space is formed whose width is a multiple thereof in the folded state.

This is definitely possible by providing an intermediate wall between a first and a second side wall, which by means of a connecting line below is directly or indirectly connected with the first side wall. The intermediate wall can then be rotated from a rather vertical orientation (or an orientation, for example, slightly divergent at an angle to the first side wall) to a second position more open than the previous one, preferably collapsible, by which it is oriented approximately horizontally and directly forms the bottom of such a hanging filing cabinet. To this end, a support and joint device is provided that acts between the first and the second side wall, in particular between the intermediate wall and the second side wall and ensures that the intermediate wall continues to retain its function as a bottom in the corresponding horizontal position .

The particularity of the solution corresponding to the invention also resides in that the distance between the first and the second side wall, with the intermediate wall collapsed, which in the collapsed position forms the bottom, is greater than the width of the intermediate wall. This results in the entire bottom surface between the first and second side walls being formed by the intermediate wall folded down on one side and on the other by a partial area that is free upwards of the corresponding support and / or joint device . In other words, an equally wide filing cabinet can be formed by this measure, with a comparatively short side wall.

In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, it then forms in each case the second side wall of a hanging file cabinet at the same time as the first side wall of a hanging file that follows, which can further simplify the entire structure.

However, basically it would also be possible to configure each hanging file with two side walls and the folding intermediate wall, which is located in the middle, as an autonomous unit. Such suspended filing cabinets can therefore be individually hung in a corresponding way in a hanging rail system.

However, as indicated above, units with several hanging filing cabinets, conceived as a jointly manageable unit, are preferred in which in each case the next side wall is at the same time the first side wall of a second hanging filing cabinet that follows .

The support and joining device to support and hold the collapsed intermediate wall to its horizontal position (in which it forms the bottom of a hanging folder) can be carried out by taking different measures.

Preferably it is a support and joint device composed of a resistant material, which absorbs support forces if necessary and cannot be wound in the form of a band.

In this regard, a fixing and in particular support with support, for example in the lower connecting line between the first side wall and the intermediate wall connected therewith, are taken into consideration. However, a fixation of the support / suspension device is also preferable in the side wall section, in particular only possible in the side wall section, and precisely in the area below the junction line with the first side wall and above the edge of the intermediate wall above. In this regard it has been found that it is especially favorable that the support and joining device, for example in the form of a plate, is preferably fixed at mid-height of the intermediate wall section. The opposite side is then preferably provided in the lower boundary line of a side wall that goes next.

However, unlike this, it can also be fixed at another point, for example at any point above the junction line below (where the intermediate wall is connected to the first side wall), in particularly also on the upper edge of the collapsible intermediate wall, the opposite side of the support and joining device being provided then preferably halfway up the collapsible intermediate wall next to the next adjacent side wall.

For the rest, the aforementioned hanging filing cabinets 11 can also be suspended from other support and clamping rails provided rather in the center with respect to a hanging filing cabinet 11. The type of suspension and configuration are of no importance as to the type of the hanging file configured according to the invention.

Next we will refer to figure 2, in which for example a detail of a container, closet, sideboard 6, etc., is represented, precisely with two side walls 17, between which the shelf 1 already mentioned in figure 1 runs , with the clamping rails 5 provided on the underside.
