Abstract

Procedimiento de obtención de polímeros que contengan haluros de vinilo, por polimerización de suspensión de éstos, caracterizados porque los haluros de vinilo pertenecen al grupo constituido por el fluoruro, el cloruro y el bromuro de vinilo, y el haluro de vinilo se suspende y polimeriza en agua que contenga un interpolímero soluble en agua de un compuesto maleico, como agente de suspensión para el polímero de haluro de vinilo; y además por comprender el incorporar en el sistema de polimerización una pequeña cantidad de un interpolímero que contenga un grupo hidroxilo, como agente auxiliar de suspensión; el interpolímero que contiene el grupo hidroxilo, contiene, en peso de 1,5 a 12% de grupos hidroxilo y se elige del grupo formado por (1) interpolímeros de un alcohol no saturado del grupo constituido por alcohol alílico, alcohol metálico y mezclas de ambos, y uno de un grupo constituido por (a) un ester vinílico de un ácido monocarboxílico de 1 a 10 átomos de carbono, libre deenlaces etilénicos y acetilénicos; (b) un monómero del grupo formado por esteres acrilato y metacrilato de un alkanol monohídrico de 1 a 10 átomos de carbono y (c) etileno; y (2) interpolímeros reducidos de (m) un compuesto carbonílico no saturado, del grupo constituido por acroleina, metacroleina y mezclas de las mismas, y un monómero del grupo formado por esteres acrilato y metacrilato de un alkanol monohídrico de 1 a 10 átomos de carbono, y (n) etileno y un compuesto carbonílico no saturado del grupo formado por acroleina, metacroleina y mezclas de las mismas.
