Abstract

Improved skateboard (1) comprising a board (2) and a pair of wheel sets (3, 4), at least one of the wheelsets being provided with a turning device (5), said turning device ( 5) at least one element of elastomeric material (6) arranged radially between the inner wall of an internally hollow housing and an inner central bushing adjusted to pressure, said rotating bushing being relative to its central axis when the table is tilted on its own axis longitudinal, and which is associated with an axle that is coupled at one end to the board, the turning device (5) being integrally connected to at least one set of wheels. In this way, the turn can be transmitted to a skateboard in a more precise way.

Description

Improved skateboard.

Object of the invention

The purpose of the present patent application is to register a skateboard that incorporates notable innovations and advantages over other skateboards provided with turning means.

More specifically, the invention refers to an improved skateboard comprising a table and a pair of wheel sets separated a distance from each other, at least one of the wheel sets of a turning device being provided. Background of the invention

It is well known for years the use of skateboards formed by a table provided inferiorly with two pairs of wheels as a means of transport or entertainment.

In order to improve and provide greater performance of the skateboards, different systems have been devised that aim to allow a certain rotation of the skateboard and at the same time maintain its stability during said operation so that the user stands on the skateboard . However, known systems have a certain constructive complexity that implies a higher manufacturing cost and a greater risk of breakage or damage.

In addition, the applicant is not aware of the existence of turning means for skateboards that have all the features described herein. Description of the invention

The present invention has been developed in order to provide a skateboard that solves the aforementioned drawbacks, also providing additional advantages that will be apparent from the description that follows.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an improved skateboard comprising a table and a pair of wheel sets separated a distance from each other, at least one of the wheel sets of a turning device being provided, and characterized due to the fact that said turning device comprises at least one element of elastomeric material arranged radially between the inner wall of an internally hollow housing and an inner central bushing adjusted to pressure inside which a main shaft associated to a set of wheels, in which the outer wall of the housing of the turning device is linked to a plate that is attached to the bottom of the board, such that the inner central bushing is capable of rotating relative to its central axis by tilting the table on its own longitudinal axis.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the turning device may comprise three or four elastomeric elements.

Advantageously, the turning device provided on the wheels is oriented inclined with respect to a plane perpendicular to the horizontal plane of the table.

According to another characteristic of the invention, the inner central sleeve has a substantially rectangular prismatic shape that is rotated with respect to the rectangular housing.

Thanks to these characteristics, the rotation can be transmitted to a skateboard by means of the above-mentioned rotation device in such a way that it offers a more precise, gradual and proportional rotation with respect to the displacement of the weight against other known systems, also provided a damping of the vibrations of the wheels when they are acting. Another aspect that is no less advantageous is the simple constructive configuration and the low manufacturing cost of the skateboard assembly with such turning and damping means.

Preferably, each of the two sets of wheels is provided with two wheels in which two axles protrude in the direction of the turning device.

In addition, the turning device may have stop means against the sliding of the elastomeric material elements, such stop means consisting of a flat portion provided on the plate which is located close to the inner housing and oriented towards such material elements. elastomeric

In view of the attached figures, an improved skateboard applicable to both recreational and sports use, generally referenced with 1 essentially comprises an elongated board or platform 2 made of any known and suitable material for skateboards and a pair of wheel sets 3, 4 separated a distance from each other, with a turning device 5 located in each of the respective wheelsets 3, 4 being provided, which provides greater performance, in particular as regards stability during use of the skateboard, and which will be described below.

In the present description the wheel set 3, 4 is formed by two wheels 12 themselves (in the figures only one of the wheels is shown), for example, made from a plastic or elastomeric material preferably of polyurethane and an element clamping 13.

As can be seen more clearly from FIGS. 3 and 4, said turning device 5 is constituted by four elements 6 made of an elastomeric material arranged radially and equidistant from each other between the inner wall of a rectangular housing 7 made of metal internally. hollow and an inner central bushing 8, adjusted under pressure, inside which a main axle 9 associated with a set of wheels 3, 4 is housed tightly.

inner central keel 8 has a non-circular geometric outer profile, in particular with a rectangular shape, such that it is capable of rotating (see the arrows shown in Figure 3) relative to its imaginary central axis when the user intends to change the direction of the path to follow. As can be seen, the outer wall of the housing of the turning device 5 is linked to a plate 14 that is attached to the lower part of the table 2, whose inner central bushing (8) has a substantially rectangular prismatic shape that is internally rotated with with respect to the rectangular housing (7). Thus, the inner central bushing 8 is capable of rotating with respect to its central axis when the table 2 is tilted on its own longitudinal axis.

The difference between the two turning devices 5 shown in Figure 3 and 4, lies in the inner profile of the inner center bushing 8 where in Figure 4 it has a circular contour.

Additionally, the turning device 5 has stop means against the involuntary sliding of the elastomeric material elements 6 due to the continuous movement and blows of the skateboard body, which consist of a flat portion 15 provided on the plate (14) which is located close to the inner housing (1) and oriented towards such elements of elastomeric material (6).

In the two embodiments shown in Figures 3 and 4, the elastomeric material elements 6 adopt a substantially elongated cylindrical shape although they could also have any other suitable shape with the same functionality.

It will be understood herein that the term "rectangular" refers to both a rectangular and quadrangular contour section.

Preferably, the rotation device 5 is oriented inclined with respect to a plane perpendicular to the horizontal plane of the table 2 of the skateboard 1, in an angle range that can range between 20-80 °, said rotation device 5 being connected to Table 2 by means of plate 14 that may be fixed by screws.

The details, shapes, dimensions and other accessory elements, as well as the materials used in the manufacture of the improved skateboard of the invention may be conveniently replaced by others that are technically equivalent and do not depart from the essentiality of the invention or the scope defined by the claims included below.

Claims (9)

1. Improved skateboard (1) comprising a board (2) and a pair of wheel sets (3, 4) separated a distance from each other, at least one of the wheel sets of a turning device (5) being provided , characterized in that said turning device (5) comprises at least one element of elastomeric material (6) arranged radially between the inner wall of an internally hollow housing and an inner central bushing (8), adjusted to pressure, inside which a main axle (9) associated with a set of wheels (3, 4) is housed tightly, wherein the outer wall of the housing of the turning device (5) is linked to a plate (14) that is attached to the bottom of the table (2), in such a way that the inner central bushing is capable of rotating with respect to its central axis when the table (2) is tilted on its own longitudinal axis.

Improved skateboard (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the turning device (5) comprises four elongated elastomeric elements (6).

Improved skateboard (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the turning device (5) is inclined oriented with respect to a plane perpendicular to the horizontal plane of the table (2).

Skateboard (1) perfected according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the inner central sleeve (8) has a substantially rectangular prismatic shape that is rotated with respect to the rectangular housing (7).

Improved skateboard (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the wheelset (3, 4) is provided with two wheels coupled to a clamping element (13) having two oriented sections, each associated to each wheel (3, 4), which converge in a single section corresponding to the main axle (9) that extends in the direction of the turning device (5).

Improved skateboard (1) according to claim 1, characterized in that the turning device (5) has stop means against the sliding of the elastomeric material elements (6).

Improved skateboard (1) according to claim 6, characterized in that the stop means consist of a flat portion (15) provided on the plate (14) which is located close to the inner housing (7) and oriented facing such elements of elastomeric material (6).

Improved skateboard (1) according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that each of the wheelsets (3, 4) is provided with a corresponding turning device (5).

D01 discloses a skateboard comprising a board and a pair of wheel sets separated a distance from each other, at least one of the wheel sets of a turning device being provided. The turning device comprises:

at least one element, which among other possibilities may be made of elastomeric material, arranged radially between the inner wall of an internally hollow housing and a pressure-adjusted main shaft, which is associated with a wheel axle (see figure 7)

In claim 1 an inner central bushing is included in which the main shaft is accommodated in an inner manner, while said bushing is not used in D01, and the main shaft is placed, as is, without bushing. The mere fact of using a bushing is nothing more than a constructive variant from which no unexpected technical effect is deduced.

For all the foregoing, claim 1 would be new (Art. 6.1 LP 11/1986) but would lack inventive activity (Art. 8.1 LP 11/1986). Dependent claim 2 incorporates that the turning device comprises four elongated elastomeric elements, these characteristics are disclosed in D01 whereby said claim would lack inventive activity (Art. 8.1 LP 11/1986). Dependent claim 3 incorporates that the turning device is oriented inclined with respect to a plane perpendicular to the horizontal plane of the table. Although this inclination is not seen in document D01, in the state of the art many configurations are known in which the turning elements are oriented in the manner claimed, as can be seen in document D02. Therefore, the mere fact of choosing that configuration would be one that would occur to the person skilled in the art, and therefore, said claim would lack inventive activity (Art. 8.1 LP 11/1986). The dependent claim 4 incorporates that the inner central bushing has a substantially rectangular prismatic shape that is rotated with respect to the rectangular housing. This same configuration can be observed in D01, with the caveat, already explained for claim 1, that in D01 there is no bushing in which a main axis is fitted tightly, but the main axis is directly arranged, without no type of bushing, so that said main shaft has a substantially rectangular prismatic shape that is rotated with respect to the rectangular housing. For all the foregoing, it is considered that claim 4 would lack inventive activity (Art. 8.1 LP 11/1986). Dependent claim 5 incorporates that the wheelset is provided with two wheels coupled to a fastener that has two oriented sections, each associated with each wheel, which converge in a single section corresponding to the main axle that extends in direction to the turning element. A similar configuration can be seen in D01 unless the sections associated with each wheel, instead of converging in a single section corresponding to the main axis, converge in a piece in which the main axis and the turning element are inserted . But the configurations in which the sections associated with each wheel converge in a single section corresponding to a main axis, which in turn extends in the direction of the turning element, are known in the state of the art, as can be seen in the document D02. Therefore, claim 5 would be evident from the state of the art for the person skilled in the art and therefore it is considered that said claim would lack inventive activity (Art. 8.1 LP 11/1986).  WRITTEN OPINION Dependent claim 6 incorporates that the turning device has stop means against the sliding of the elastomeric material elements. The mere use of stops to prevent a piece from moving in a direction lacks inventive activity, it is clear to the person skilled in the art that if a piece can slide, it must be provided with some retention element. Therefore, said claim would lack inventive activity (Art. 8.1 LP 11/1986). Dependent claim 7 incorporates that the stop means consist of a flat portion; It is an obvious design option for the person skilled in the art and therefore would lack inventive activity (Art. 8.1 LP 11/1986). Dependent claim 8 incorporates that each wheel set is provided with a corresponding turning device. This configuration is anticipated by D01 so that said claim would lack inventive activity (Art. 8.1 LP 11/1986).
