Description

Dispositivo de invisibilidad.Invisibility device

The present invention belongs to the sector of physics, more specifically to optics, and refers to a family of Invisibility devices based on the use of receivers optical, which would capture the light, combined with optical fibers, which they would act as conductors of light, to an optical emitter that the would issue abroad. The light would be captured by the receiver and led to fiber optic. Once inside the fiber it would be led to the transmitter, where the image captured by the receiver.

Putting receiver and transmitter "back against back "we would get to see what you are getting from the broadcaster the receptor. In this way, any object placed between receiver and sender would be "invisible" to any observer placed in front of the issuer. This observer would see what is passing in front of the receiver.

With these devices you could build invisibility devices such as suits and covers invisibility or invisibility enclosures to hide machinery or installations.

Antecedentes de la invenciónBackground of the invention

The only antecedent known by the inventor is the use of fiber optics for impulse conduction lighting for computer or electronic purposes. But never for achieve invisibility

Descripción de la invenciónDescription of the invention

The basis of this invention is the possibility of divert light from its natural trajectory and transmit it through a very small surface (fiber optic) to then be able to return it to its natural trajectory and surface, but in a place far. In this way an "invisible" volume is available, where objects can be placed without being seen. So you can fool the eye, you will see in the issuer what happens in the receiver.

The effect is the same as that of television, but the mechanism is much simpler, of minimum size and of infinite resolution

If we put a receiver back to back with a transmitter and separated a distance of one meter, for example, we would deflect the light of its natural trajectory during that subway and then return it to her. So we make it look like it doesn't there has been discontinuity, and any object placed between receiver and issuer (and "covered" by them) is not visible.

sor.
To facilitate the understanding of the mechanism, I will put for example the same system but using a video camera and a television set, devices to which we are much more accustomed. We connect the camera and the television so that through the television you can see what the camera captures. Suppose we put a viewer in front of the TV, without borders and of infinite resolution and quality. Behind the TV we put the video camera capturing the images behind the TV. That is, the camera sees what the viewer would see if the TV was not there. If we now put a vase between the TV and the camera, so that it would be hidden from the viewer behind the TV, the vase would be invisible to the viewer. For the viewer the whole mechanism is invisible, since camera and vase are hidden behind the TV, and on the TV see what you would see if there was nothing. As the TV has no edges and its quality is perfect, neither does the TV
Sr.

With the use of receivers / transmitters optical and fiber optic we get the mechanisms can be much smaller (in principle they could be manufactured even from microscopic size), light and durable. Therefore they can be laptops They would also be cheaper, because their cost of manufacturing would be much lower and do not need energy to function. But its main advantage is that with them you get An infinite image quality. The light that reaches the eye is the same that would have arrived if there had been no device for means, medium.

Thanks to all these features, it can be adapted to mobile objects. If we cover a car, for example, with these devices, so that all directions and viewing angles are affected by the devices, the car will be invisible and
mobile.

Equally, combinations of these mechanisms so that they also hide from view movements of the object with respect to itself. For example a suit of invisibility. Where the movements of the arms and legs with with respect to the body they would also be camouflaged.

Como receptores se pueden utilizar diversas geometrías de materiales ópticos para conducir la luz de forma ordenada al interior de la fibra óptica:As receivers you can use various geometries of optical materials to conduct light shape ordered inside the fiber optic:

None : It is to use the end of the optical fiber itself as a light receiver, and as an emitter at the other end.

Conical : The peculiarities of the geometry of the cone would ensure that a large part of the light rays pass inside the optical fiber and be emitted from the other end, identical, in a reasonably orderly manner.

Parabolic : The parable has the particularity of sending all the rays that reach its surface to a point called focus. This is the theoretical basis of the satellite dishes. Putting the end of the optical fiber at this point (focus) would allow all the rays to pass into the optical fiber and be emitted to the emitter, identical to the receiver, in an orderly manner.

Icosahedron : The icosahedron would be the ideal figure, since any straight section of an icosahedron is a hexagon. The hexagon is the flat figure that is able to cover a surface more efficiently. That is, fitting hexagons like a puzzle on a surface, the uncovered surface is minimal. Therefore the invisible surface would be maximum.

Conical Mirror : With this geometry we will ensure that the rays of light that enter through its base are retained, in large part, inside the cone and finally sent to the interior of the optical fiber.

Magnifying glass: By placing the focus point of the magnifying glass right on the optical fiber, all the light rays captured by the magnifying glass will enter the optical fiber.

Conical mirror with a magnifying glass base : We will achieve the same effect as with the magnifying glass, but in addition, the rays of light that do not enter directly into the optical fiber will have a high probability of being directed towards it.

Others : Any other geometry that achieves the desired function.

All these receptors would act at the same time as emitters, since the system allows bidirectional circulation Simultaneous light. Thanks to this invisibility is achieved in both directions simultaneously.

In any case, the characteristics of these receivers / issuers will be subject to research and development. Meanwhile there is no more than theoretical assumptions.

(Fig.-3).
As a preferred embodiment, we will illustrate an example of practical application of the invisibility device. To do this, we will take an invisibility mechanism formed by two conical receivers / emitters, with their vertices joined by an optical fiber (Fig. 2). The receivers / emitters will be of great conicity, so that they are as narrow as possible. An emitter / receiver will be placed on the chest of a jacket and the other on the back, so that they are "back against the sword." The fiber optic will run through the jacket along the side, hidden by the padding. In this way it will be achieved that it seems that whoever wears the coat has a through hole in the chest
(Fig. 3). This invisibility effect is achieved without any electronic mechanism, simply by optical phenomena.
