Description
Single or double sauna cabin powered by hot water from the home network system water distribution
This invention relates to a sauna cabin single or double in which hot water from the system of the domestic water distribution network, according to the preamble of the appended main claim.
It is known that the word "sauna" refers not only to the typical Finnish sauna characterized by high temperatures (approximately 80 ° C) and low humidity (approximately 20%), but to any environment of moderately high temperatures (approximately 40 ° C) and high humidity (up to 100%). In other words, here the word "sauna" means a physical environment similar to that of thermal baths or that of Turkish baths. This is an environment that offers a comfortable feeling of relaxation produced by a moderately hot, moisture-saturated environment. This kind of environment has a growing demand, both for luxury hotels, who want to offer their customers always more exclusive and refined facilities, as well as for private users. The financial well-being of increasingly wider sectors of society has tended to transform the old bathroom into a complex space, offering a comfortable and relaxing rest in which to discharge after a tense day of work. This has led to the production of cabins that offer consumers the comfort and pleasures of a "sauna" in the private and intimate environment of their own home. As these sauna cabins are enclosed spaces, it is easiest to build them inside existing shower cubicles and the original objective was to find a way to use the shower cubicles for the introduction of heat, and in particular hot steam. For this reason, "shower-sauna" cabins are known on the basis of three basic designs, the first of which consists of nozzles that spray very hot water (at approximately 80 ° C) against areas at the bottom of the cabin. This favors water fogging, and therefore the upper part of the cabin is saturated with water vapor generated by the spontaneous rise of water vapor that is known to be lighter than the surrounding atmosphere. However, this design has two drawbacks, the first of which is the high energy consumption, due to the high temperature of the water used, which causes a higher heat exchange with the cabin walls and a very drained water drain. Warm up the drain system. The second drawback comes from the fact that the high water temperature can accidentally scald the user's legs, even if the system has been designed to avoid it. The second design used to generate water vapor inside the shower cabin is to carry the water vapor directly into it through a special boiler, but it also has important drawbacks. First, the generation of water vapor requires a high electrical power (up to 5 Kw) to ensure that the sauna cabin is ready for use in a reasonably short space of time. Secondly, the expansion of water vapor at the outlet of the nozzle implies a considerable reduction in temperature, although the risk of additional scalding remains. The best known solution offered to reduce the above risks involves electronic adjustment for a more precise control of the flow temperature, but the advantage thus offered is offset by the disadvantage of higher costs and, above all, by the circulation of electricity in an environment in which, due to being in contact with water, rigorous and expensive safety measures are required, which in any case can be compromised even in normal use. A third design is that described in US-A-4,084,271. This prior art describes an apparatus for use in a shower chamber to simulate a steam bath. The apparatus comprises a diverting valve, whose purpose is to alternately feed hot water to a usual shower head and simple nozzle means, located at the bottom of the chamber, directed towards a chamber wall, and which produces A spray mist of a multitude of fine droplets of hot water. Temperature adjustment controls are provided upstream of the nozzle means and the shower head. The D1 also presents an embodiment (Fig. 8) where a control knob that is downstream of a valve leading to the nozzle means has been represented, so that it feeds high temperature water in the trunk areas and the user's feet. The so-called sauna effect is entrusted to a mist of water droplets which, as such, wets the user. The objective of this invention is to define a single or double sauna cabin suitable for adopting very safe criteria for heating and the generation of water vapor inside, which protects both against electrocution and accidental scalding. Another purpose is to define a cabin, like the one mentioned above, which allows to achieve a great cost savings. Another objective is to define a cabin that can achieve the desired optimum temperature and humidity parameters in a short space of time. Another objective is to define a cabin, as mentioned above, that does not require water vapor generators that require an intrinsic capacity greater than that provided by the system of the domestic distribution network
of water.
These and other objectives will be seen to have been achieved after reading the detailed description that follows. This illustrates a single or double sauna cabin that has the peculiarity of adopting a thermostat that regulates the water mixture cold with hot water from the supply system Traditional hygienic accessories at a safe temperature previously established at approximately 55 ° C. This thermostat serves a two-way tap for successive selection and manual control, in order to spray with hot water regulated by the thermostat, first to two sets of nozzles during a phase of preparatory heating of the empty cabin, and then to a game intended to maintain the degree of temperature and the content of water vapor at the previously established level. The action of hot water jet sprayers regulated by thermostat will directs towards the upper surfaces of the cabin, to allow that water runs over the interior walls of the cabin when run down in an appropriate amount and be properly distributed to transfer its heat until the room temperature before the water is discharged at traditional drain pipes.
As an example, the invention has been illustrated by the accompanying drawings, although not limited by them, and in which:
La Fig. 1 representa, en vista lateral, el interior de una cabina de sauna y la posición de los chorros de agua que calientan la cabina;Fig. 1 represents, in side view, the interior of a sauna cabin and the position of the jets of water that heat the cabin;
La Fig. 2 representa, en una vista lateral, el interior de la cabina de sauna, como antes, indicando solamente la posición de los chorros de agua diseñados para mantener la alta temperatura y el grado de humedad deseados, reproduciéndose el perfil de un usuario sentado dentro de la misma;Fig. 2 depicts, in a side view, the inside the sauna cabin, as before, indicating only the position of water jets designed to maintain high desired temperature and humidity level, reproducing the profile of a user sitting inside it;

Fig. 4 represents a scheme of the network of distribution pipes required to achieve what is indicated in The foregoing.
separado. With reference to the aforementioned Figures 1, 2, 3, the interior of the cabin, which is usually constructed of 6 mm thick acrylic laminated plastic, thermoformed, has several functional projections that form a seat 1, a series of supports 2 , aesthetic moldings 3, baffles 4, ribs or reinforcement protuberances 5 containing the technological equipment at the top. The forms represented are illustrative only; they serve to express the presence of the elements in question, which can therefore perform the very various functions according to the possible aesthetic design variations of the cabin. Their common goal is, however, to avoid the formation of depressions where water can be stagnant, and allow the front and rear water jets 6 to continuously cover a surface as large as possible with a minimum delay. This allows hot water that runs slowly down the surfaces to easily transfer its heat so that it can be poured from the usual drain pipes at a temperature as close as possible to room temperature. In Fig. 1 it has been shown that the water collides with the cabin walls in the upper area. In this phase of heating the cabin, water is used at a temperature of approximately 55 ° C, at a pressure of 1.5 bar, with a flow rate of approximately 7 liters per minute. Due to this, and due to the poor thermal conductivity of the laminated plastic surfaces and the glass that form the cabin, the temperature reaches the desired value of approximately 45 ° C in less than two minutes. At this point, the user manually opens a tap that closes the spray nozzles on the rear interior parts of the cabin, leaving the three jets towards the front area 8 free to spray. In Fig. 3 the position of said frontal area 8 and also the position of a seated user 9 is shown. This figure clearly shows that water H is sent to areas that are far from the user, even if it is not at a scalding temperature, thus offering the user maximum safety and allowing them to relax physically and mentally. With reference to the piping scheme of Fig. 4, one can see how the invention is carried out. Hot water comes through a pipe 10 at a temperature of approximately 60 °. This hot water can be produced in many usual ways: by a centralized installation, by an electric boiler or by a heated boiler with flame. Said hot water reaches an adjustable thermostat 11 in a temperature range between 37 and 55 ° C. To this thermostat is connected a pipe 12 to which is supplied by the cold water system of the domestic network at a temperature of approximately 15 ° C. That thermostat 11 is equipped with an outlet pipe 13 with water at the set temperature, for example 50 ° C. That pipe joins a two-way manual bypass valve 14 15 and 16. Track 15 flows to a set of approximately four nozzles 17, creating water jets 7; track 15 flows to another set of approximately 3 nozzles 18 that generate the front water jets 6. The two pipes 15 and 16 are connected to each other through a one-way check valve 19 which allows the jets coming from the nozzles 17 add to those of the nozzles 18, but that does not allow the jets coming from the nozzles 18 to be added to those of the nozzles 17, since the two pipes 15 and 16 are selectively used for the passage of water regulated by thermostat through manual bypass valve 14, and can therefore be operated by
separated.
