Abstract

Procedure for obtaining fuel for diesel cycle engines from used vegetable oils. New procedure for obtaining a biodiesel fuel, from a mixture of methyl esters from vegetable oil from frying residues, characterized by the realization of a stage of transesterification of triglycerides, under mild conditions of pressure and temperature, and of two additional stages of neutralization and purification of the methyl esters obtained, which provide a more economical and energy-efficient process, by the use of vegetable oil from frying residues as raw material, however maintaining the yield obtained in the known procedures and giving rise to a higher quality biodiesel fuel, thanks to the elimination of the catalyst and methanol residues in the final product through the aforementioned neutralization and purification stages, and more ecological, with a very high level Reduced pollutant emissions.
