Abstract

Perfeccionamientos en los sistemas de transporte de mercancías por ferrocarril y carretera, caracterizándose por colocarse las mercancías a expedir en un "container" amoviblemente montado sobre ruedas adecuadas para circular por carretera; por desplazarse el container, mientras está sostenido por dichas ruedas, a lo largo de una carretera hasta un punto de transbordo al ferrocarril; por separarse el container de las ruedas para carretera y colocarse sobre dos juegos de ruedas para carriles separados, independientes, móviles uno con respecto a otro, que se apoyan sobre una vía; por sujetarse de modo amovible el container a los juegos de ruedas para carriles, dejando sus ruedas para carretera, desmontadas, en el punto de transbordo al ferrocarril; por desplazarse el container, mientras se halla sostenido sobre los juegos de ruedas para carriles, hasta un punto de trasbordo a la carretera, conveniente para el destino final de las mercancías; por separarse el container de los dos juegos de ruedas para carriles y dotarse de ruedas adecuadas para su circulación por carretera, dejando en la vía los dos juegos de ruedas para carriles, y por arrastrarse el container por una carretera, hasta su destino, mientras está sostenido por las ruedas para carretera.
