Abstract

Regulatory element that activates gene expression under conditions of low oxygen tension and repression by glucose and applications. The regulatory element activates the expression of the gene to which it is operatively fused under conditions of low oxygen tension and high concentration of glucose in the culture medium. Said regulatory element can be used to construct expression cassettes, vectors and eukaryotic expression systems capable of being regulated by oxygen action and not repressed by glucose.
