Abstract

Hasta la fecha, la unidad de ósmosis inversa de una desatadora se ha diseñado con una sola unidad de bombeo de alimentación que eleva la presión del fluido que entra en la misma. En ese caso, las primeras membranas se encuentran con el fluido a desalar con su máxima presión y las últimas, debido a las pérdidas por rozamiento, con un fluido con menor presión. Por otra parte, estas últimas membranas se encuentran con una solución salina con mayor concentración que las primeras. Dado que la producción de agua desalada está en función de la diferencia entre la presión hidráulica del fluido y su presión osmótica, sería ideal poder ir incrementando la presión del fluido a medida que se va concentrando en sales. La solución, objeto de esta invención, consiste en diseñar en varias etapas con la instalación de bombas intermedias para la alimentación de cada una de las etapas sucesivas, de forma que la diferencia entre la presión hidráulica del fluido que entra en cada etapa y su presión osmótica seala misma o similar.
