Abstract
Electrodo versátil Li-Ti-Cr-O para baterías recargables de litio y de ión litio, constituido por un polimorfo de alta temperatura del óxido de fórmula general LiTi2-xCrxO4 con estructura ramsdellita, donde 0<x<=1, obtenido a partir del polimorfo de baja temperatura con estructura espinela o bien directamente por síntesis a alta temperatura. Este material, debido a la presencia de Ti(IV) reducible a Ti (III) y a la presencia de Cr(III) oxidable a Cr(IV), resulta de aplicación como electrodo positivo en baterías recargables de litio metal y de ión litio, y como electrodo negativo en baterías recargables de ión litio, con una capacidad específica máxima en ambos casos de 157 mAh/g para el compuesto con x=1 (LiTiCrO4), lo que sumado a sus buenas características de reversibilidad y vida media, le convierten en un electrodo idóneo para la industria de las baterías y del equipamiento electrónico.Versatile Li-Ti-Cr-O electrode for rechargeable lithium and lithium-ion batteries, consisting of a high temperature polymorph of the general formula LiTi2-xCrxO4 oxide with ramsdellite structure, where 0 <x <= 1, obtained from Low temperature polymorph with spinel structure or directly by high temperature synthesis.
