Sistema de audiometría digital. Se describe un sistema de audiometría digital, destinado a proporcionar datos fiables y precisos de audiencia para su aprovechamiento por las plataformas de televisión digital, agencias publicitarias, o cualquier otra entidad u organismo interesado. El sistema prevé la utilización de una tarjeta inteligente, dotada de memoria no volátil, susceptible de ser incorporada en cada uno de los decodificadores digitales existentes en los diferentes hogares, y destinada a almacenar los datos de utilización que han de ser enviados posteriormente a un centro de procesamiento, ya sea directamente con la utilización de un canal de retorno desde el decodificador, o ya sea desde un dispositivo opcional auxiliar externo, con la utilización del puerto serie del decodificador o de un puerto serie equivalente asociado a la tarjeta. El software incorporado incluye los procesos relativos a la instalación y configuración, así como a la audiometría propiamente dicha, incluyendo también el envío automático de datos dentro de los períodos programados.Digital audiometry system.
