Abstract

The procedure is for producing a chemically stable porous surface covering on ceramic supports and with high specific surface and uses heat treatment in a controlled reducing atmosphere for application in catalytic processes at high temperatures between 1300 degrees Celsius and 1500 degrees Celsius for periods between one and twelve hours. The reducing atmosphere provides a partial pressure of the known reducing agent (carbon monoxide, hydrogen) for application in catalytic processes at high temperatures.
