Abstract
Wind-driven electrical generator.The system illustrated in Figure 1 consists of a wind-driven compressed air generator (1), the said generator is moved by the pressure exerted by the wind on the blades of a rotor.The motion of the rotor is transmitted to a compressor through a step-up gearbox and a centrifugal clutch.The compressed air thus generated is transmitted to a storage reservoir (2) through a non-return valve.A second pipe leaves the storage reservoir through a non-return valve which conducts the compressed air to a turbine generating electricity (3). The said turbine is responsible for generating electricity at the standard voltage and frequency which will be transmitted to the power transmission lines.
