Abstract

Mobile structure for accessing the sides of a ship. With the aim of facilitating maintenance and inspection works on the sides of a ship, it consists of a mobile framework (1), moveable parallel to the side (2) of the ship, for example on an under rail (9) and with the collaboration of duly motorised (11) roller bearings (8), an internal structure or box pallet (4) operating in the core of this mobile framework (1), constituting a type of platform or scaffold dimensionally suitable for receiving the different ship maintenance equipment. The internal structure or box pallet (4), is moveable on vertical guide rails (3) and is also duly motorised (7), and can therefore adopt any height position within the framework (1) so that with the combined movement of the framework (1) and the internal structure or box pallet (4), the operators positioned on the latter may adopt any position on the surface of the side of the ship, in order to work on it as necessary.
