Abstract

Un mecanismo para refrigerar una cinta de las que se emplean en la fundición continua, el cual comprende: dos o más poleas para sostener y mover una cinta (10 y 12), las cuales comprenden una polea de entrada (14 y 18) y polea de salida (16 y 20); en el que la cinta comprende una superficie exterior y una superficie interior, la polea de salida y/o la de entrada comprenden, por lo menos, un canal (102) el cual se halla en contacto abierto con la superficie interior de la cinta, y el canal corre sobre la superficie exterior de la polea; y el canal contiene, por lo menos, un tubo de alimentación de líquido (106) y un tubo de recogida de líquido (108), para el paso del líquido, de forma que dicho líquido fluya en el canal desde el tubo de alimentación hasta el tubo de recogida, mientras que contacta en directo con, y enfría, la superficie interior de la cinta.
