Abstract

A deflector can be rotated about an axis orthogonal to the kilm central axis, between positions inside and outside the burner flame. A monolayer kiln for ceramic floor tiles comprises a tunnel containing a roller conveyor with motor driven rolls for transporting a layer tiles. Both of the tunnel side walls contains at least one line of burners facing the opposite side wall, each burner being associated with movable deflector located close to the wall in which the burner is mounted. The deflector can be rotated about an axis orthogonal to the kiln central axis, between a first position in which it deflects the burner flame and a second position in which it is located outside the flame.
